The Third Jewelry Industry Summit convened experts in sustainability in the jewelry industry for two days of actionable content addressing sustainability issues.
As per prior summits, Tucson hosted a range of national and international speakers united in their passion to make a difference to the jewelry industry by taking actions to resolve sustainability issues. We heared from leaders of initiatives started at prior Jewelry Industry summits as well as other projects which are successfully promoting responsible sourcing and production.
The Jewelry Industry Summits invite a broad group of designers, manufacturers, and retailers to share their perspectives, experiences, and ideas for a better way. This inclusive approach creates an opportunity for participants to take steps to improve responsibility and ethics in the creation of jewelry, no matter where they fall in the supply chain or what stage their business is at.
At the first Jewelry Industry Summit in 2016 a vision and set of principles for a more sustainable and responsible future was defined by a broad cross-section of stakeholders. Subsequent summits and activities have brought this vision to life by encouraging and enabling sustainable action to be taken by all sectors of the jewelry industry.
